Yes. I have two Lenovo laptops, one for work and one is mine. Both exhibit a similar problem maybe once every two weeks. It's annoying.Recently I turned on (activated from sleep mode) my laptop. All I got was a blank, lighted screen. No keys nor the mouse did anything...nothing worked. Could not reboot, etc. I called a well known computer tech company and they got me up and running. The tech suggested that the cause may have been keeping the computer on sleep mode for a long time period. I never heard that before and I was wondering if anybody else has had such an experience. I frequently have it on sleep mode; never had a problem until now.
As noted in another post, press & hold the power button to shut it down (about 10 seconds for me).
One of the laptops also had another problem -- my wireless keyboard and mouse wouldn't connect over Bluetooth when the computer woke up. I found a different bluetooth driver and that seemed to fix the problem.
But the main problem remains. I tried upgrading all the drivers: chipset, bluetooth, wifi, etc. No luck.
Best I can tell it's related to the AMD chipset being different enough from Intel chipset in terms of sleep state functionality. Both of my laptops are AMD based.
Or, now that I just did some quick google searching, maybe it's a chipset driver problem after all...https://www.google.com/search?q=amd+chi ... eep+levels. When I get some time I
If the behavior is new for you, it's possible a recent driver update (as part of Windows update maybe) caused the problem.
