A lot of home water usage comes from the washing machine, dishwasher and showers. A whole house filter may run through a lot of expensive filters due to filtering water for areas you may not need. It helps if you learn how to replace filters yourself to save the plumber fee.
Is there an easy way to add a filter/filters just for the key areas such as sinks, ice maker etc.? Do you need it for showers (due to heavy chlorine, etc.?)
