We are in our mid 70s and our mortgage was paid off in 2023 and we are now looking for the best ways to invest our extra income. One of the methods we have read about in a few financial chat rooms is to open a standard brokerage account and use if for Capital Gain Harvesting.

We are not looking for stock symbols like NVDA which doubled in value in less than 6 months. We are looking for a variety of symbols that should have a steady 5 to 10 percent annual growth. After gathering a small list of suggested symbols, we want to find a few reasonable locations on the web where we can get the opinions of a variety of analysts that we can trust to a reasonable degree!

One of the sites that we are currently aware of is CNN Business. Follow the link to https://www.cnn.com/markets/premarkets enter the symbol you are interested in https://www.cnn.com/markets/stocks/MSFT and for this symbol today you see the forecasts from 58 analysts, 95% say buy and 5% say Hold, 0% say Sell.

The site also gives you the analysts opinions for the 1 year High, Median, and Low estimated prices.

This is exactly what we are looking for, but not from just one source. We are looking for multiple sources for suggestions for symbols with a fairly solid expectation for growth with the overall economy, then, some additional sources for forecasts from multiple analysts.
