Could be as low as 10 GPM or as high as 40-50 GPM depending. Our well makes 7 GPM so we have a large cistern. Well pump fills the cistern at 7 GPM, irrigation pump empties it at up to 50 GPM for sprinkler system. Cistern PT tube monitors level to make sure irrigation doesn't empty cistern.Impossible to answer with the stated info. Irrigating a couple of small flower beds? Or a golf course? Or irrigating an alfalfa farm? Also, anyone know what the GPM rate is to run an underground sprinkler system?
Thanks

For the OP, you have all the pros/cons correct. If you are a nervous nelly, replace the pump now. And your water heater. And HVAC. And garage door motors and springs. Get a new car. We run everything into the ground and the older it is the longer it lasts. We have a fabulous commercial grade 1972 80 electric gal water heater that looks new. My 2010 Lexus may run another decade or more.
