Living in the city our travel time is highly dependent on traffic, and security lines can be anywhere from 1 minute to more than 30. As a result, arriving annoyingly early - even for domestic - is a thing - albeit worse than the alternative. The lounge is much easier than hanging at the gate for 2 hours, especially with a kid. Not sure I'd pay for it out of pocket but as a suite of benefits on the card it's worthwhile.
