Personal Investments • Are IBonds still a decent investment?

I think the time for me to buy bonds is when nobody else is (I focus on the fixed rate).

Interesting- I don't really follow this thought process with respect to Series I Savings bonds because there is no competitive pricing mechanism involved. It doesn't seem like Savings Bonds are the type of investment to apply the "buy when others are scared, sell when others are greedy" mantra.

Can you explain?
