Thank you for the replies. It will take several years but I plan to hold the fund till it recovers. Then ask for help in picking the right fund. In about two years I'll have to take RMD. Thanks, KPG

I'm not so sure that's a good idea. Yes, if you sell now you'll take a loss. But if you hold and hold and hold you're taking an opportunity cost, if you'd rather have that money in something else.

It may be best to accept the misfortune and/or error of holding this asset and correct the situation.
