Losses from a sole proprietorship can be deducted from ordinary income, of which interest income is a part.But how would you offset income from I-bonds ? There is no offset at all, since they cannot be held as part of a business.What makes you think it's only capital losses? I have other investments that might provide short term losses (although I hope they don't!).
