No, I didn't make the trip, plans changed and I forgot that I had even asked the question here already.

Is there a penalty? please advise.

What kind of thinking is involved in researching someone's posting history? seems.....odd.

Well, by the time I got here, the mods had already merged the two threads, so there was no research involved at all. Usually that means that someone remembered the first thread and went back and looked it up.

Maybe it’s just me, but I have the expectation that someone would at least do a quick search to see if someone else had already asked a similar question recently before starting a new topic.
