I am coming to the realization that there is no single best suggestion for decumulation. Almost all people on bogleheads withdraw so little from their nest egg that it really doesn’t matter which method they choose. 4% rule, Big ERN, TPAW and VPW are all within a few tenth of a percentage of each other that over a 30 year old retirement it is all noise which method one chooses. Just withdraw around 4% your first year and ensure your withdrawal rate doesn’t get too high over time. 3 fund portfolio is adequate but a portfolio like a golden butterfly has historically had lower drawdowns and quicker recoveries. My question isn't what's the best way to learn; it's why do you think this is the best approach for decumulation?
The best way is probably to go through then”learn” section of the tpawplanner.com website
What’s better is going through the TPAW thread and just reading all the posts from the website author, Ben Mathew. Just read his posts and you’ll make a lot of progress

I don't currently have time to read 1,000 technical posts, hence I was looking for a proponent's view as to "why it is the way." That question remains unanswered.
