I’m getting over it and this sounding board has helped me tremendously. The “gifting with a warm hand” and pre-inheritance is a great way to think of it. As my parents age, I am becoming more aware of how I want to use money as a tool while I’m around to see and reap the benefits. Thank you for your insights!

Thus, for the us, utilizing our DAF over the last 30 years to assist hundreds of students afford private education, has been one of many valuable and rewarding causes. Our own kids... They will inherit the role of giving the remainder of our estate away via our DAF recipient. Fortunately, they are of sound mind and heart. (educated through tangible experience and service to others).

Meaningful choices, we all make them daily. We often will not see the tangible results during our lifetime.
