Personal Finance (Not Investing) • QCD check not yet cashed by charity. Is that a problem?

no; the community foundation is a public charity. There are CFs all over the country.

We have donated to one, and it lets us "recommend" where donations are to go. I'd think that makes it a Donor Advised Fund as defined for the QCD prohibition. I gather he one you're using does not?
