It could be as much as a ton too large or too small depending on a zillion factors from sun angle to duct placement/size to window number/sizes. Your best bet would be to have several experts visit and give their opinion based on their vast experience. It will probably vary from 4-5+ tons. Then what will you do? Change it out? What problems are you hoping to avoid in the meantime?
