Non-US Investing • Converting USD to EUR for house purchase in EU

I did this in the Fall of 2023, but I'm in Portugal. For my normal "day to day" money transfers, I use Wise, and am quite happy. But, for a large sum for our house purchase, I wanted something a bit more bespoke, with hand-holding. Based on the recommendations of some folks on various Facebook groups, we went with SpartanFX. You will need to compare their exchange rates and fee structure, but for the service, I can highly recommend them. You get a dedicated account rep to walk you through the process, and you have some control over when the actual currency exchange takes place, so you have a chance to optimize the timing for the best rate. Definitely add SpartanFX to your short-list of options to consider.
