I would say I-bonds. Their earnings are tax deferred, similar to a Non-Roth 401K or TIRA, except there is a 30 year expiration on the tax deferred nature of their earnings since they mature in 30 years after purchase, unless used for qualified tuition and fees for education.Hi,
What are the best fixed income options to preserve value and stay with inflation if possible in taxable and Roth IRA accounts?
Thanks.
Nothing else I am aware of is guaranteed to both "preserve value" and "stay with inflation" as I interpret what you mean by that. These are generally only held at TreasuryDirect these days and not at a brokerage.
Cheers.
